Hello all! I've just returned from BB LDC1 camp; to be a helper, not a camper! Took 3-days leave from work(I'm not trying to skive, OK?!)
In overview, I would confess that the camp was very exhausting. The Standard Obstacle Course over the Mr Wall (The only single wall in the field of the school) and 5Bx exercise that knocked everyone out caused almost my life. I love the aches that I now have; unable to bend my elbow towards my back to scratch my itch of less than 45degrees. Can you imagine I will be walking like a robot for the next few days? The rugby game was a factor that contributed to the level of strain. The Primers' team were at 'unfair disadvantage', as there were many 'traitors' that joined the Boys' team. I was glad Boys' and Primers' team drawed with a score of 4 all :). The game was supposedly not for us, so the score is not really important, however I enjoyed the kind of spirit that was exhibited during the game: the 'never-say-die' and 'participate 100%' spirit, which was truely commendable.
As told by the camp committee, the net distance from the start to end point was 8klik(kilometres), but it seemed as if it was worser than AQ; feel right disgraceful of feeling K.O. after a short walk. Perhaps I had not been faithful in exercising everyday, so my body could not take such a sudden impact of strenuous exercise.
I also see boys that are extremely shy and quiet begin to speak out and lead the team, and I'm real proud about their efforts to be a leader. Some are simply born leaders, whereas others need more time to adapt to become a leader. Not viewing individual calibre , a humble heart is still of utmost importance which will win the respect and hearts of their members.
