3D2N Primers' Overseas Trip; Let me begin this entry with a more specific description of the place we went.
The destination was Tanjung Sutera in Kota Tinggi in Malaysia. Upon reaching there, we had our first lunch there. The food there was very delicious I would say; there was no leftovers after each meals. There was a variety of food being served; from Nasi Lemak to Mee Soto, from Kang Kong to chicken wings.
So the first day went like this: We had lunch. After lunch, had some swimming there. The swimming pool was salty, and immediately you know where it came from; the seawater which was located not far from the resort. But I believe that chlorine has been added to purify it.
The first day was more OTOT. Then comes the second day. We went for the dinosaur trail, which was named after the "fossils" left behind on the coast. There were tonnes of rocks which can cause serious injury if you fall by accident, so I would say it was some sort of adventure. Then we ascended some sort of mountain, where the apex was our destination. The up part was easy :), but the down part you shall know. The soil was loose, so it was easy to get your footing right and still slide down the hill. So you have to cling right tight to the branches close to you to prevent serious falling. Thank God we all made it. It was really adventurous, and I like it:).
In the forested hill was full of obstacles. The tree branches that stood out; you have to avoid it. Next, the thorns that grew on certain species of trees. I got cut by it! Life's the same. You have to go through some pain, some obstacles, some adversities in order to get to your destination. So you must never give up.
After the Dinosaur Trail was a trip to Kota Tinggi's town centre. As we walked through the kampong houses, we could see some children waving to us, some children riding motorbike (within their own vicinity of course), some just strolling along the road. Life was simple and happy. It was far from the bustling streets of Singapore, free from air polution(lesser vehicles travelling pass perhaps). so J.D brought us to a coffeeshop, which was small and have no people. The auntie was a Hainanese, and Wenliang & J.D were heart-knitted to her as they too were from the same dialect group. She is around her mid-60s from her look, and she is really a good host to us by pouring out her heart to us; having 11 children, each leaving in different parts of Malaysia and 2 of them in Singapore.
According to the auntie, the town centre used to be a bustling place too in the past, but after the increase in ways for immigration, people gradually move out, with more shops closing down, and the place becomes less lively than the past.
On the third day we checked out from the resort. Two vans sent us to Johor Bahru's City Square mall and we went there shopping, and I realised that I was the only one who bought something back as souvenir -.-". We went for a 2hour movie, known as "The Day the Earth Stood Still". I wouldn't want to comment about this movie(or else Spoil Spot), but I would say it is seemingly very science-fictional. No moral of the story though... But I think it is trying to potray humanity and love.
So we acually ended the trip officially in the afternoon at around 4pm. The trip was relaxing and I suddenly realise there's actually a diference in the two environments when I finally reached Jurong East interchange...
